Information provided to another is offered in an attempt to assist them in the healing process. To this end, OTGC members in the exercise of accountability will: |

Provide the highest quality of care, acting in the highest good of all concerned. |

Accurately represent education, experience, certification, professional affiliations and other qualifications. |

Perform only those services for which one is qualified. |

Disclose techniques used, appropriately identifying each in the scope of ones skills. |

Accurately inform others of the scope and limitations within a specific discipline. |

Acknowledge the limitations of and contraindications of the techniques employed. |

Provide services only where there is reasonable expectation that it will be advantageous. |

Be aware when the needs of another exceed ones own skills, and offer referrals to appropriate practitioners. |

Maintain and improve professional knowledge and competence. |

Conduct business and activities with honesty and integrity. |

Respect the beliefs, values, customs, choices, coping mechanisms and inherent worth of all individuals and refuse to unjustly discriminate. |

Respect the client's right to informed and voluntary consent. |

Respect the client's right to refuse, modify or terminate their participation regardless of prior consent. |

Exercise the right to refuse to continue participation with any person for just and reasonable cause. |

Avoid any interest, activity or influence that might be in conflict with ones obligation to act in the best interest of the client. |
